Training on protection and promotion of cultural monuments

On October 1st, 2019, in the city of Khujand of Sughd Region, a training on protection and promotion of historical and cultural monuments located on the Ferghana - Syr Darya crossing of the Great Silk Road will begin, and it will bring together culturologists, historians, and representatives of local authorities of cities and districts of Sughd region .

This event is organized by European Union and UNESCO Regional Office and will last until October 4th.

On the training, international experts will introduce the methods of document preparation and the ways of presenting the cultural and historical monuments of Sughd region to the UNESCO List.

Currently, the work towards cultural and historical monuments in the Sughd region is underway in two directions of the Great Silk Road: Zarafshan (Penjikent - Poikent) and Ferghana - Syr Darya.
